DICOM upload & viewing
Upload imaging studies to the cloud and open them in the browser-based DICOM viewer. Keep studies accessible to the people reviewing them.
Bring DICOM studies, teleradiology and tele-ultrasound into your diagnostic workflow. Connect on-site teams with remote radiologists, live during a scan or through recorded sessions reviewed later.
Part of SmartCarePlus, used in India and Nigeria.
One connected imaging workflow
DICOM study · live scan · recorded clips
Study access · live room · session viewer
Patient context · test-linked reporting
Support the full collaboration workflow, from the imaging room to the reporting desk.
Upload imaging studies to the cloud and open them in the browser-based DICOM viewer. Keep studies accessible to the people reviewing them.
Link DICOM studies to lab bookings so imaging and the associated reporting workflow stay connected.
Connect the technician and radiologist in a live session for remote participation during an ultrasound scan.
Capture ultrasound video clips and still images, then share the completed session for review when the radiologist is available.
Review imaging alongside patient and test context. Ultrasound sessions can be associated with a booking and report test to support report preparation.
Share recorded sessions through viewer links with an expiry. Recorded media is private and available for a limited review period.
Two ways to collaborate
Start a session and invite the radiologist to join the technician remotely. Both participants connect at the same time to collaborate during the scan.
Record clips and capture still images in a dedicated session. End the session and share its viewer link so the radiologist can review it later.
Recorded session media is currently retained for 3 days after the session ends. These sessions support time-limited review; they are not a permanent imaging archive.
From acquisition to interpretation
Start with the patient and requested examination. Linking studies and ultrasound sessions to the relevant booking helps the reporting team work with the right context.
Upload DICOM studies or use the supported Connector workflow. For ultrasound, choose a live session or capture clips and still images in a recorded session.
Open studies in the browser viewer, invite the radiologist to a live session, or share the recorded session viewer link. Recorded-session links follow the media retention window.
Review the available images and patient or test details, then use the reporting workflow. The clinical team remains responsible for interpretation and report completion.
| Workflow | What is shared | When review happens | How it connects |
|---|---|---|---|
| DICOM studies | Uploaded medical imaging studies | After studies are available in the viewer | Study access and lab booking links |
| Live tele-ultrasound | A live ultrasound session | Technician and radiologist participate together | Participant links to the live session |
| Recorded tele-ultrasound | Captured video clips and still images | Later, within 3 days of ending the session | Session viewer link and report-test context |
Organise the booking, upload the study or start the ultrasound session. Capture the required clips and images and connect them to the examination.
Access imaging remotely, participate in live ultrasound or review recorded clips and still images later. Use the available patient and test context when preparing reports.
